Wine Spotting

Part of Wine Spotter’s journey is to bring wines and producers worth noticing to the spotlight.

The wine reviews from Wine Spotter are independent and free from commercial considerations. Our philosophy is to bring visibility to the great results of producers that we believe should be in your radar.

We understand that there is more than hard work to produce great wine. Love and persistence are base components of this long developing curve. We appreciate and respect this process and for this reason, you won’t see overly critical commentary or destructive observations in our site. If we believe the overall impression about the wine and producer is positive we’ll praise the work by publishing it here.

Also, in order to help keeping our opinion independent and unbiased, we don’t receive sponsorship from wineries or producers.

To build the wine reviews, I take three steps into consideration in the process:

  1. Technical evaluation – organoleptic (sensory) evaluation of the wine.
  2. Story behind the bottle – who is behind the wine and what characters brought it to be what it is.
  3. Emotional trigger – how much does the wine slow down the time when you sip it.

If you are interested in sending samples for us to evaluate, feel free to reach out and I’ll share the details of the address to submit the samples and for us to schedule an interview.

Thank you for taking part on this journey.
