I’m a certified sommelier based in Zurich, always thirsty for a good story and a proper bottle to pair it with.
The passion for wine is a self-fulfilling circle where the will to learn is rewarded with new discoveries in the glass. The more you learn, the richer the meaning you perceive… then you let your emotions guide you.
That’s where technique meets art. Imagine entering a museum and gazing at a Van Gogh painting. The depth of colors and dotted strokes are beautiful on their own. But when someone shares the artist’s story, the brush technique, and the unique color palette, the painting gains deeper meaning, offering you new ways to connect with it.
So is wine. Technique, story and context adds extra flavour to the wine in your glass. It helps guiding your senses to better listen to what the wine has to tell you.
Wine is a social element from the time it is produced to the time it is enjoyed. It connects people to the past, to a memory, to a feeling and it also grounds you in the present by wrapping all your senses into a single experience.
